1^st Nation – “Lest we forget”:

Post Captain Cook, plight of indigenous ignored,

colonialism in their homeland, thousands destroyed.

 

Diverse fabric of our society:

Post 2^nd world war “Down Under” immigrant’s haven

for Brit, holocaust survivor, displaced European,

assimilate, establishing multi-cultural country,

forge forward, create Australian industry.

 

Our sparsely populated land, now benefiting,

as flowers bloom in spring, burst forth thriving,

marry, children, educate, care, and share,

deleting prior adversities, one cannot compare.

 

FAITH:

Majority accept religions, regardless of faith,

parliament, schools, places of worship, feel safe,

but from 2000, global threats, instil vengeance,

militants, terrorists, defame own heritage.
