                                                                          THE DOG WALKER

 

 

Format of dark grey clouds appear, rain now ominous,

daily walk with four-legged friend treated as serious,

a Moodle’s damp coat can challenge even the healthier,

whereas humans wear clothes suitable in wet weather.

 

Gusty winds, swirling foliage, typical winter’s day,

rain drops, sudden showers, exercise we often delay,

however, blue skies swiftly herald positive advent,

sunshine promising safe passage for family pet.

 

On lead traversing side streets avoiding exhaust fumes,

lungs absorb clean fresh air, imagine what rest consumes,

though tree trunks fascinate such a beautiful friend,

while dog walker is focused on historic heritage trend.

 

Dignity Shamed:

Glorification of above stanzas easy to transgress

by ignorant owners not picking up their dog’s mess!
