Once a Social Secret
Once a Social Secret
Grasping the
nettle, with guts, determination
divulged
only to family, daunting depression,
why did people
ignore this dire, sad affair
now publicly
acknowledged, then very rare.
Life’s journey a marathon, not sprint,
socially secrete trauma, basic instinct,
we encourage all, step up to the plate
suicide
is increasing at a tragic rate.
Bravely set forth, one's soul, hand in hand
embracing
each race, religion, our great land,
immersed daily, work, home, no depressed strife,
realistic positive attitude, towards life.
Open our hearts to the less fortunate.
