GRATIFICATION of ONE"S PASSION

 

                     GRATIFICATION of ONE’S PASSIONS.

 

Spotlight starved obsessive parents abuse love,

prime child for self-gratification to excel,

individualistic sports demand power of one,

shun teams, which inspire, care, share, till final bell.

                   

Train, pressure, pre-post school, adds fuel

day in day out, sweat, frustration, tears,

should society heed fervid parents as cruel,

 as heroes, heroines, lack time to play with peers!

 

Low percentage, tremendous talent, satisfy

by attaining success, stardom, idolised,

many athletes determined, strive, but fail to aspire,

bereft of normal fellowship, demeaned, demised.
