AS TIME GOES BY
AS TIME GOES BY
sunshine,
foliage, flowers, exuberant beauty,
days of
yore, horse and buggy, in vibrant daylight
folks delighted, viewing such a scenic sight.
Trams, buses, trucks, cars, bumper to bumper,
carbon spews, as unhealthy fumes occur,
cities, population a never-ending spiral,
high rise apartments, now visually viral.
How will families cope, with no backyards for play,
children will be obsessed by phones, laptops, each day.
Councils must
create playgrounds, parks, all to share
so young can have fun, frolic, in healthy fresh air.
