                     FICKLE NATURE

 

Sunrise, special this morning, mother nature

you tempt, tease, torment, fickle weather,

clear vivid blue skies, fiery sun alight,

saltwater, calm, luminous, oh so bright.

 

Steamy midday heat, hot, humid,

but cumulus clouds, swiftly spread,

overcast, ominous, suddenly form

stark, dark, dank, tropical storm.

 

Lightning bolts, tumultuous thunder,

torrential downpour, stuns, shudder,

fearful flee beach, turbulent sea sweeps clear,

our earth tremors, creating foreboding fear.

 

Sunset, post climatic dramatic stance,

safe, secure, but all in a hypnotic trance.
