FRIENDSHIP

 

                                           FRIENDSHIP

 

 

Treasure worth more than diamonds, gold,

 what passes one’s lips, must never unfold,

 nurture, inner thoughts two alone share,

 romance based on desire does not compare.

 

 Few friends survive post teens with such trust,

 life’s sojourn straddled, school, sport, lust,

 bonded by blood, gutted, out in the cold,

 future dates challenge this precious mould.

 

  One’s journey tacks into varying winds, far horizon,

 thru mates, partners, firmly press forward in motion,

 wives, families, forge strong links along the chain,

 on their watch, encourage friendships to sustain.
