Universal Instability

 

                                Universal Instability

 

Today’s global turmoil, based on coronavirus

initially misjudged, became extremely serious,

certain leaders, prioritised GDP, financial reasons

in preference to salvation, of numerous citizens.

 

Daily avalanche, ill health, deaths, occurred,

shamefully, many groups’ lives not deterred,

while individual politicians sought popularity

avoiding restrictions, thus responsibility.

 

Spanish Flu, global wars, 1914 to mid-50’s

recorded more deceased, than COVID-19,

yet people who survived those disastrous afflictions

established lifestyles, wished for future generations.

 

Dawn to dawn, humans must bond as one,

willingly supportive, until all is done,

this period in our lives has been tough,

corona, lockdowns, enough is enough!
