Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow
Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow
“Down Under” after WW2 immigrant’s haven
Holocaust survivor, displaced European,
assimilate,
forge multi-cultural society,
contribute,
industry, retail, health, hospitality.
New Aussies welcomed from ships at our ports,
to sandy
shores, deserts, plains, forests,
schools taught sharing, caring, plus education,
restoring lives with great determination.
Populace accept beliefs, any religion,
young
to old, places of worship, “we are one”.
Post Captain Cook, indigenous tribes suffer,
when homelands stolen, by an Anglo settler,
lyrics “we
are Australians” is a precise conception,
but future
must include all, in our National Anthem.
